Estoy intentando reparar pero se me está resistiendo.
Cuando inserto DVD para iniciar MBR en vez de clickear en reparar si pincho en install now se me instalará Windows 7 encima del viejo, no?, o se instalará lo que necesita para el correcto funcionamiento sin borrarse nada?

Eso es una lotería y por mi experiencia con mal resultado; siempre que lo he tenido que hacer, el sistema arranca pero he tenido que reinstalar muchos programas.Cita:

No sé, los logs no arrojan errores... cada vez me inclino por un fallo de algún sector de disco o por hard, aunque si fuera así, no se explica porqué bootea en Ios...
Me lo pienso un rato, pero chunga veo la cosa...
Como dicen los compañeros, yo sacaría la información y formateo al canto.

Ya no recuerdo si has probado a iniciar a modo "prueba de fallos": "F8" al arrancar y seleccionar "modo a prueba de fallos sin soporte de red"; si no, quizás con un chkdsk (check disk) se solucione: mira el método 3 que recomienda Microsoft

Os agradezco. Esta haciendo un checking desde la bios completo. Lleva asi desde las 14:00. Si, he probado modo prueba de fallos (modo seguro que es lo mismo, no?) con funciones y sin funciones de red.
Me queda el ultimo cartucho, chkdisk y el tercer metodo que dices jeopardize. Pero me da que se ha debido de jorobar algun sector de la particion del disco duro.
Para mas inri me encontré un portatil (un ultrabook HP Envy 6 en la basura) por 50 euros lo arreglé (bisagras a la tapa trasera cataput) y lo tengo de nuevo operativo. Estoy valorando gastar los ultimos cartuchos (si, hevic, soy un pvto cabezon) y si no consigo arreglar recuperar todo lo que tenga en esa particion y pasarlo al otro portatil que se usaría solamente para mecanica y trabajo.

El tercer método de microsoft es el chkdsk, es lo mismo que mencionas; se puede invocar de varias formas y con diversos "switches".
